Vidal Wines, founded in 1905, is one of Hawke’s Bays oldest boutique wineries, and is a producer of premium quality wines that truly reflect the region and vineyards from which they were sourced.

The winery and restaurant are situated on the original site in Hastings which was purchased by its founder Anthony Joseph Vidal back in 1905.

Vidal Wines sources grapes from contract grape growers in Hawke’s Bay, including premium vineyard sites in the Gimblett Gravels Wine Growing area. Gimblett Gravels is fast becoming renowned as a premium and very unique growing area.

From vintage 2002 Vidal will also get its first crop of grapes from its own Gimblett Gravels Vineyard named Joseph Soler, which is being managed as an organic vineyard.
