Established in 1983 by John and Ann Ellis, the winery sits on The Jim Jim, a hill facing Hanging Rock and in the winter, enduring the cold (The Macedon Ranges Region is arguably Australia's coolest grape growing region).
Their flagship wine is the sparkling 'Macedon', a Champagne style sparkling unashamedly modelled on Krug and Bollinger.
 Other Flagship wines are The ‘Jim Jim’ Sauvignon Blanc and Heathcote Shiraz.
The Super Premium 'Black Label' range includes Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Grenache, Petit Verdot and Merlot-Cabernet Franc.
The Premium 'Yellow Label' range includes, Chardonnay, Verdelho, Shiraz Mourvèdre, Cabernet-Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The Rock range comprises Rock Shiraz blend (Shiraz, Grenache, Pinot Noir), Rock Chardonnay (unwooded), Rock Riesling, Rock Merlot, Rock Petit Verdot and Rock Sauvignon Blanc Semillon.
